Iaşi / Romania 2017

For nearly 30 years, the EU has funded the Erasmus programme, which has enabled over three million European students to spend part of their studies at another higher education institution or with an organisation in Europe.

In the framework of this programme, I was invited by the Civil Engineering Department of  ”Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, Romania, on 12 – 17 November 2017. During this visit, I have lectured to the last year BSc and Master students in the area of Structural Engineering. Besides lecturing, future collaboration opportunities between EPOKA University and TUIASI civil engineering departments have been discussed with the colleagues from TUIASI.

Tirana 2017

The partners from Albania, University of Tirana (UT) and Epoka University respectively, hosted the two-day event of the Erasmus + project “Knowledge FOr Resilient soCiEty”- K-FORCE. The 1st Day – February 23rd was hosted by the Department of Finance, University of Tirana and the 2nd Day – February 24th was hosted by Epoka University.

Novi Sad 2016

The first transnational kick-off meeting of The Erasmus + project “Knowledge FOr Resilient soCiEty”- K-FORCE, took place on 12-14 December 2016 in Novi Sad, Serbia. University of Novi Sad, the coordinator of the K-FORCE project, hosted this three-day event at the Central University building and at the premises of the Faculty of Technical Sciences.

The K-FORCE project proposal has been selected for funding under ERASMUS+ program – Capacity Building in Higher Education. Project started with its implementation in October 2016, and will last for three years. The overall project objective is to foster modernization, accessibility and internationalization in the Disaster Risk Management and Fire Safety Engineering HE field in Western Balkan countries. This will be achieved through development of innovative master studies implemented in six HEIs in the region.

Representatives of WBC HEIs (EPOKA University, University of Novi Sad, Higher Education Technical School of Professional Studies in Novi Sad, University of Tuzla, University of Banja Luka, University of Tirana) also participate in Western Balkans Board Meeting on 14th of December. On Western Balkans Board Meeting there were bilateral consultations on the specific aspects of the project.
